Knight Hacks is a Hackathon, which is a 36-hour "invention marathon" where you join a team of up to four to create a project on a weekend. This year Knight Hacks is in-person being held from October 24 - 26 at the University of Central Florida! We've assembled a team of awesome, experienced mentors who will help you move forward and complete your project. When you encounter issues, have questions, get stuck on a bug, or feel lost, don't worry! All throughout the event, we have workshops to help get you up to speed on skills you might need for your project, as well as fun social events to meet other hackers and take a break from your project. And of course, we have prizes! Knight Hacks supports you by providing access to resources like Google Cloud credits, and free domain names.
Knight Hacks will be held at the University of Central Florida main campus. Location of events can be found in the schedule. We encourage hackers to use all allowed space available on campus, such as the library, study rooms and common areas when working on your project.
Below is the list of all available rooms and their purpose. Accessing a room that is not publicly accessible (i.e. Library and Student Union during their open hours) or one of the rooms listed in the Room List below is strictly prohibited and may result in your dismissal from Knight Hacks VIII. We will have volunteers and organizers regularly patrolling all areas to make sure that hackers stay within these allotted spaces.
Note: Hacking spaces - denoted in blue - will open starting AFTER the closing ceremony. Please do NOT enter the rooms until after opening ceremony.

Additionally, all Hacker rooms will be used as judging spaces, so be sure to clear out your belongings by 11:30 AM Sunday morning.
